Check the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen to find out what you’re working with. While a condominium offers many benefits above and beyond your own kitchen, it’s still a big part of the experience. Make sure you know whether you’ll have the tools you need to prepare a meal or if you’ll need to bring your own supplies. Don’t make assumptions about what will be stocked and what won’t be.

Consumable Resources

In addition to making sure the kitchen is stocked with plates, pots, and pans, see what else is stocked or will be when you arrive. Is their toilet paper, for instance? Paper towels? Shampoo and soap for the shower? You may need to go on a grocery store excursion to buy enough of these things to last your family for the week. Even if the condo rentals you’re looking at have all of these things in stock, the owners may expect you to restock them before you leave to go back home.
